… had been a “roller coaster ride” for me.
Hubby’s return to PHL. We weren’t able to extend his 3-month tourist visa, and his COE (Certificate of Eligibility) was not released while he’s still in JP. The COE is a document applied in JP and it is needed when applying for dependent visa. And according to the Immigration website, it is processed for at least a month and at most 3 months. So we had no choice but for him to go back to PHL on Aug 28. And surprise, surprise! His COE came 2 days after he went home.
Applying for dependent visa. We thought that since we already have the COE, the application process would be brief. Like maybe 3 days. But we received the visa almost one month after we submitted it! I mean, what’s with that? I was thinking that it defeated the purpose of having a COE (the purpose of applying for this is to have the visa application faster since all of our documents were already scrutinized here in JP). We only submitted 2 documents – the COE and our marriage certificate (certified true copy from NSO), so what’s taking them so long? Anyway, even if we asked them, I’m sure they wouldn’t answer us. I was just glad that it was ONLY one month. Some said that theirs took 2-3 months to process. So thank God, ours took only a month.
Thursday and Friday “weekends”. Due to the on-going problem in the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant (as I have posted before), our weekends were transferred to Thursday and Friday. That meant that we were away from Mikokoro Saturday mass choir for 3 months (July to September). You can’t imagine how happy I was to be back in Mikokoro after our “forced exile” hehehe.
Alone for a month. When hubby went home to PHL, it was hard for me. Well, aside from missing him terribly, I was going through some phase in my life. Eating was becoming a chore and well, I wasn’t feeling too good. It was good that there were people who was there to cheer me up and give advices. And what’s more fascinating is, I’m not alone who’s going through this! Hurray! So now, me and Fera are sharing notes
** That’s all the updates that I have for now. I’m just happy that my hubby’s back here, and he already have a baito! And of course, Christmas and the winter holiday are just a few weeks away. SO EXCITED!
wow conrad’s back! that mustve been really costly, sana dumating earlier yung coe noh? but at least ok na lahat, im happy for u, di magiging malamig pasko nyo!
what’s baito btw? tapos why Thursday and Friday ang weekend..? di ko sha marelate sa nuclear plant. hehe!
yup, he’s back. One month na sya rito
Baito is the jap term for part-time job. i think it came from german word albeit. hehehe.
About naman sa nuclear plant, pag weekends kasi walang pasok yung mga factories talaga. So basically, hindi masyado malaki yung demand for energy pag weekends. Yung automotive industry, naglipat sila ng 2 weekdays sa weekend para makabawas dun sa demand ng energy pag Thursday and Friday.
ooh wow, how practical. anyways, now that’s conrad’s there… kelan ang baby? hehehe =)
*now that
